WELCOME...
TO THE MTAC SAN FERNANDO WEST VALLEY BRANCH WEBSITE!

We are excited to inaugurate our website! Since receiving our charter in 1960, the San Fernando West Valley Branch (SFWV) has shown a steady growth in membership as well as activities. The monthly meetings provide opportunities for discussion and exchanges of ideas pertaining to the private music teacher. Guest speakers and artists offer further stimulation and encourage a broadening of creative capacities.
The SFWV branch serves teachers from North Hollywood to Thousand Oaks and Simi Valley. As of June 2009 we are 93 members strong. Our membership includes teachers with private studios, educators at public and private schools, and college professors offering instruction in the disciplines of piano, organ, flute, clarinet, violin and cello.
Students have many opportunities to perform and compete. Branch programs include the state Certificate of Merit Program, Branch Honors Recital, General Recitals, the Southern California Junior Bach Festival, Contemporary Festival, VOCE, Concerto Competition, and the Memorial Awards Competition.
