The Concerto Competition offers members the opportunity to enter students who have prepared a complete movement of a concerto or a concert piece written for his or her instrument and orchestra. They are placed in two divisions:  Junior and Senior.

The two judges select winners who will perform with Maestro James Domine and the San Fernando Valley Symphony orchestra in one of their regular subscription concerts.  Currently, the competition is held in June and the winners play with the orchestra in the following fall season.
