General Recital Rules:
1. Branch recitals are open to students of all ages.
2. Four (4) or more students from the same teacher may be divided between programs. The maximum number of students per teacher may be limited, depending on programming constraints. 3. Time limit will be six minutes for up to three individual pieces, or up to ten minutes for a single work. The committee may reduce a student's program to less than the maximum time allowed. 4. Only the entry forms that are in the current Directory may be used. Include one check for all entries, payable to "MTAC-SFWV". 5. Entry forms must be filled out completely and accurately, typed or printed. Please have an exact and accurate time (not a "guesstimate") for the length of each piece. 6. Any special requests (i.e. special needs, time request, siblings, etc.) should be explained and written on the entry form. Teachers should realize there is no guarantee the committee can honor all special requests, and therefore should not promise their students a specific time until the programming is complete, and the confirmation phone call has been made. 7. The entry fee is $5 for six minutes or less, and $8 for six to ten minutes. (See rule 3). 8. Deadline for entries is listed in the directory and monthly newsletter. No changes or special requests in programming or listings may be made after the deadline. Please do not ask for exceptions. 9. All solo pieces must be memorized. Memorization is optional for ensembles. 10. Performers may not use simplified arrangements. 11. No "pop" pieces will be allowed, except at special recitals for such material. 12. The decisions of the General Recital Committee are final. PERFORMERS

Performers must check in with the chairperson, and be in place fifteen minutes before the recital begins. GUESTS
